For more than 2 years now, the Romanian advertising and communication industry lacked local recognition. Not international, though. Agencies brought home precious metals in the most coveted forms, from Lions to Drums or Clios. But locally, the commercial break is not that brilliant.
FIBRA Awards, the creativity festival organized by IQads and supported by IAA, UAPR and ADC*RO and by the Ministry of Culture, was created to support courage in local creativity. The event will take place between 3 and 6 May at the National Library, which will become, for 4 days, a hub of Romanian creativity, with conferences, workshops, creative talks, exhibitions and the awards gala.
Creativity is the essence of communication and boldness is the fiber of creativity. We reward this kind of courage with FIBRA Awards. This is why courage is to be found in the festival format as well: from jury to judging criteria, awards and an affordable registration fee.
And, to ensure the impartiality of this approach, the festival entries will be judged by international judges, coming from powerful agencies, to be chaired by Kevin Brady (Executive Creative Director with Droga5) “recruited” following th most unconventional DM for the election of a jury president – the DROGAvsBOGUSKY campaign.
The other confirmed judges include:
- Evgeny Primachenko (Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam)
- Karpat Polat (KARPAT)
- Laura Visco (72andSunny Netherlands)
- Bruno Luglio (R/GA New York)
- Robert Nagy (HEAVY)
