IQads and SMARK Editorial Guideline

We focus our editorial focus on topics that are relevant to our audience: both through themes we initiate ourselves (extensive editorial files, themes through which we want to address all marketing and communication players), but also through specific topics, that include campaigns and actions related to marketing, communication and creativity.

We believe that the editorial should be a win-win type of relationship:
we produce quality content and our partners in dialogue (the subjects of the materials) gain exposure in their area of expertise.

 

How do we select our topics?

  • Relevance of the topic to our specialized audience: professionals and young aspirants of the creative industries and the marketing and communication industries.

  • Exclusivity of the topic
    We stand out through unique topics or topics with new perspectives for our audience.

  • Potential readership and interest for our audience
    We don't like to write for search engines or for some print screen in a monitoring report.

  • Time/ effort/ energy/ cost needed to document/ develop/ publish the story
    In order to continue writing, we need to continue to exist as a business and to do that we must also be pragmatic sometimes.

  • The context we are in. Context defined as: public or our own events calendar, the workload of our colleagues from the editorial team, topics already in progress at the time the proposal is receeived etc

  • Subjectivity. The extent to which we like the topic/ theme

We understand an agency's/ a company's need to promote itself or its clients/ brands/ campaigns.

Just as we are convinced that our partners understand the fact that covering the information they want requires effort from our side.

If a certain topic about a brand/ client is to be covered, we can do so through our Branded Content projects or we can publish a press release about it through our Update service.  Services available for agencies/ companies are described and grouped in our packs.
