Rata de citire este masurata prin cercetari specificice. Numarul de cititori ai unui singur numar poate fi calculat impartind numarul cititorilor la numarul de copii care a circulat(vezi: Circulation, Pass-On Readership, Primary Readership).
For every bought or circulated copy of a press title there are often many readers. Readership is measured by readership surveys. Readers per copy can be calculated by dividing the number of readers by the number of copies bought or circulated (see Circulation, Pass-On Readership, Primary Readership).
